Ians injury report

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The PGA Tour tee sheet is starting to look like an NFL injury report. Among the list of the walking, and resting, wounded is Ian Poulter.

The sixth-ranked player in the world withdrew from last week’s Zurich Classic because of a buildup of fluid on his left knee, the byproduct of too much jumping while he played basketball.

According to Poulter’s manger R.J. Nemer, an MRI on April 22 revealed no structural damage and the Englishman expects to start hitting balls again on Monday and should be ready to play next week’s Players Championship.
