AUGUSTA, Ga. – There are a lot of traditions at the Masters. Par 3 contests, champions dinners, green jackets and breakfast on the clubhouse’s verandah. Well, it’s not a tradition like no other, but one of the perks of Masters week is the chance to enjoy two eggs scrambled, sausage, biscuits, gravy and one of the best views in the game.
It’s a perk for the press that borders on the surreal at times. We spotted Phil Mickelson one year waiting for a table while a table of scribes enjoyed the sights. Which makes one wonder how many jackets does one need to guarantee himself a table?
