Ailing at Aronimink

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. –Sean O’Hair lives in nearby West Chester and Aronimink Golf Club is his home club but there’s been nothing warm and fuzzy about his week.

O’Hair tweaked his back during a practice round on Tuesday and had to withdraw from the pro-am after 13 holes but was able to grind his way to the weekend and his third-round 70 left him at 1 under and tied for 20th heading into Sunday.

“It hurt today. The left side hurt, and actually it's been the right side the whole week,” O’Hair said. “It just obviously hurt a little bit.”

To make matters worse O’Hair is also suffering from a sinus infection which has been aggravated by the dry, dusty conditions at Aronimink.

“I got them at Pebble, and I almost went blind out there yesterday. I couldn't see,” he said. “I haven't had a good week health-wise.”
