AUGUSTA, Ga. – Phil Mickelson's most important supporter was back following him around the Masters.
In a sign that their lives are becoming more normal again, Amy Mickelson, Phil’s wife, was among the patrons cheering her husband Friday at Augusta National.
“It’s fun having her out here,” Mickelson said. “We're in such a much better place.”
Amy, who’s recovering from breast cancer, made a dramatic return to public last year when she met her husband at the 18th green after he won the Masters. They hugged and kissed in an emotional moment.
“ You can tell she's doing so much better, and we're really, really happy about where we're at,” Mickelson said.
