LEMONT, Ill. – Tough start for Tiger Woods.
With a double bogey at the opening hole Thursday at the BMW Championship, Woods found himself nine shots back with his tournament barely underway.
Woods' first tee shot was a big slice to the right into the rough with a 3-wood. He pulled his second shot from about 180 yards left into a deep greenside bunker. With a big swipe, he barely cleared the bunker with his ball hanging up in the rough just off the green. From there, he chopped to 4 feet and missed the putt.
