With bad back, Woods TBD for Deutsche Bank

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – After finishing a painful final round at The Barclays that left him one stroke shy of a playoff and shuffling off the course with a back injury, Tiger Woods wasn’t in the mood to start thinking about the next tournament.

But it’s a question on plenty of minds: Will he play the upcoming Deutsche Bank Championship?

“That's all hypothetical right now,” he said directly after a final-round 69 that gave him a four-way share of second place. “I just got off and I'm not feeling my best right now.”

Woods was ailing with the injury throughout the week, but never worse than on the 13th hole in the final round, when he pulled a shot into the hazard and doubled over onto his knees.

He won the Deutsche Bank Championship title in 2006. The tournament benefits his foundation.
