Baker-Finch still has game

RSS

SOUTHHAMPTON, Bermuda – Among the dignitaries and celebrities playing Monday’s pro-am at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf is Ian Baker-Finch, who is working the TNT broadcast of the event this week.

We lingered around the 10th tee for a few moments when IBF’s group arrived just to see what game the player-turned-broadcaster still has. Baker-Finch hit a towering drive down the middle of the par 4 (insert punch line here) and a solid approach to about 20 feet.

“Shag Bag” wouldn’t suggest IBF quit his day job, but it’s good to see one of the game’s nice guys enjoy the game again.
