OAKMONT – World No. 1 Cristie Kerr is digging hard out of that hole she dug on the front nine Saturday in the third round of the U.S. Women's Open.
After reaching the par-5 ninth in two, she two-putted for birdie from 25 feet.
After falling six behind steady leader Paula Creamer after five holes, Kerr made the turn three behind.
It took 2 hours and 45 minutes for the final group to play the front nine.
