DUBLIN, Ohio – Caught up with U.S. Golf Association set-up man Mike Davis on Tuesday fresh from his final scouting trip to Bethpage Black. The beloved muni closed to the public on Monday and Davis said other than a few tweaks to the set-up that everything is in place for this month’s U.S. Open.
“We’ve gotten the right amount of rain so far,” Davis said. “It will be up to Mother Nature at this point.”
Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, et al will also have something to say about the national championship’s second trip to the New York gem.
