CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Caught up with a haggard-looking Jason Bohn on the practice putting green at Quail Hollow on Wednesday who was, not surprisingly, sporting a 5 o’clock shadow.
It has been an eventful few days for the Zurich Classic champion, who landed back at home in Atlanta from New Orleans at 8:30 a.m. Monday and drove straight to a clinic to benefit the school where his child attends.
“I’m tired,” Bohn smiled.
Bohn drove up to Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon but arrived at Quail Hollow too late for a practice round. Instead he teed off at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, played 18 holes, practiced for a few hours and planned to go to the gym before going to bed early.
As for his second PGA Tour victory Bohn said it was still sinking in. Bohn said his wife TiVo’ed his final hole at TPC Louisiana.
“She said you’ve got to watch this,” said Bohn of his approach at the 72nd hole that rolled to inches for a tap-in birdie. “It was weird watching it. I got the exact same emotions watching it on TV that I got when I was playing it. The same chills, everything.”
