CORNING, N.Y. – What's the best thing that's happened to Brittany Lincicome since she won the Kraft Nabisco Championship in April? Yeah, she liked throwing out the first pitch at the Tampa Bay Rays-Boston Red Sox game – 'I threw a strike.' And she liked announcing 'Magic Time' before an Orlando Magic basketball game. But she said the best thing happened before her arrival this week for the Corning Classic was when she cracked the top-10 in the U.S. Solheim Cup points list on Monday. The top 10 in points make the team at the conclusion of the Ricoh Women's British Open on Aug. 2.
The matches are Aug. 21-23 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. Lincicome's tie for sixth at the Sybase Classic last week bumped her into the top 10, where she's aiming to stay.
