C. Choi remains in contention with 'secret' on hand

RSS

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Chella Choi scribbled something in Korean on the back of her left hand before Saturday’s second round at the Wegmans LPGA Championship, but she wouldn’t reveal what it was after she shot 1-over-par 73 to remain near the top of the leaderboard at 4-under overall.

“It’s a secret,” Choi said.

Pressed on what it is, Choi declined to say, but she did say she looks at it before tee shots.

Jiyai Shin, listening to Choi in the back of the media room, playfully tried to unearth the secret after Choi left the interview stage. Shin even grabbed Choi’s hand to see if she could read it, but Choi pulled her hand away giggling.
