SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. – Hall of Famer JoAnne Carner is among the many admirers of Inbee Park’s fluid, left-hand low putting stroke.
Carner thinks it might be the best she has ever seen.
“I thought Nancy Lopez was a great putter,” Carner said. “Inbee is even better.”
Pressed on who was the best putter she ever played with, Carner said Lopez.
“Nancy really believed in herself, and she putted boldly,” Carner said. “She was like Inbee Park, she made a lot of long putts.”
Lopez told GolfChannel.com Park reminds her of the way she putted when she was young.
“She has the most consistent speed off her putter blade,” Lopez said. “I used to putt like that. I knew the speed of my putt coming off the putter all the time. She knows it, and it’s beautiful.”
