Change for Choi: New caddie on the bag

RSS

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – K.J. Choi is in a familiar place at the Chevron World Challenge, alone in third and three strokes behind front-runner Zach Johnson, but the South Korean is sporting a new look this week.

Last month’s Presidents Cup was the last for Choi’s longtime caddie Andy Prodger. According to Choi’s manager with IMG Prodger “retired” after Royal Melbourne after nearly a decade on Choi’s bag.

Prodger was replaced by Steve Underwood, who previously worked for Tim Clark. Underwood stepped in for Prodger during this year’s AT&T National event while the Scot, who also worked for Nick Faldo in his career, was off to attend his daughter’s graduation. Underwood also was on Choi’s bag when he won his maiden PGA Tour title in 2002 in New Orleans.
