A change of mind

RSS

Apparently it’s time to change our thinking when it comes to golf. Another win by a non-american on the LPGA, which pushes the weeks gone by even higher. Just one in the last year.

An appearance by a 16-year-old high-schooler on the PGA Tour, who wasn't just a part of the show, he stole the show with a top-20 finish and a camera presence during interviews that tops most 15-year veterans.

And then, comments by Corey Pavin that Tiger Woods is no lock to make his team and that, although he'd love to have him, he'll be evaluated just like everyone else.

All this is further proof that in today's world nothing is a given, everything is earned, and 'what have you done for me lately' is quickly becoming more important than 'what have you ever done.'

And after watching needle-mover Jordan Spieth watch some network get the rights to Texas Longhorn golf events. Crazy thinking huh?

So what's next, a February Super Bowl 'outdoors' in New York?
