Miami's Erik Compton remains the most remarkable story in golf.
Perseverance remains the heart of his story, which continues to be all about heart, in the physical and emotional sense.
Compton, who turned 30 two months ago, is undaunted in his quest to make it big in professional golf after two heart transplants. He will tee it up this week at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters on a special invitation. He’ll play in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on another special invitation next week. His bids to win PGA Tour cards after his second heart transplant came up short at the second stage of Q-School the last two seasons. He's looking for a spark overseas that may open the door to more opportunities this season.
