Couples reiterates he'll pick Woods for Presidents Cup

Fred Couples told Golf Channel two weeks ago the he would pick Tiger Woods for his Presidents Cup team if he wants to play. On Tuesday's 'Golf Central' Couples reiterated the same thoughts to Golf Channel's Tim Rosaforte.

'Tiger's a guy I want on my team,' Couples said in an interview taped from the Memorial. 'I can't imagine not having him on the team. If he has to be picked there will be somebody upset, because they probably had an incredible year. He'll be great to have on the team.'

Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson, Nick Watney, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, David Toms, Hunter Mahan, Bill Haas and Jim Furyk round out the top-10 right now. Rickie Fowler and Bo Van Pelt are Nos. 10-11 respectively and Keegan Bradley, with two victories this year, jumped from 39 to 18th after his victory at the PGA Championship.

A lot can change over the next month, but right now, if Couples has made up his mind on picking Woods, there will be someone very deserving left watching.
