Victorious 2011 Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples will tee it up in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, the European Tour announced Monday.
Couples was the first American to win the U.A.E.-based event with a three-shot triumph in 1995.
“I have so many good memories of the city and it will be fun to play with all of The European Tour players who are dominating the world golf rankings these days,” Couples said in a release.
The 52-year-old feels physically well to make his first appearance in Dubai since 1996.
“I really want to do well," he said. "The good thing is that I am feeling great and my body is in good shape."
The tournament will be played Feb. 9-12.
