Crane sets quick pace Sunday

NORTON, Mass. – Ben Crane’s more tortoise than rabbit, but he went off first Sunday morning by himself as the pace setter in the third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

In case you’re wondering, Sergio Garcia and Anthony Kim didn’t have to wait on a single shot after teeing off behind him. Crane finished in 3 hours and 19 minutes. He shot 78 and so far is dead last among players who made the cut at 6 over par. Crane is 51st in FedEx Cup points and will advance to the BMW no matter how he finishes Monday.
