RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Paula Creamer pulled tough duty in Thursday’s first round of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, trying to keep pace with red hot Yani Tseng.
Creamer did her part with a 3-under-par 69, leaving her just a shot behind Tseng, three shots off the lead.
“Obviously, you’re playing the course, but she’s going to be right in there on Sunday, best player in the world,” Creamer said. “It’s good to play with people that are going to push you.”
Creamer is going for her 10th LPGA title, her first since winning her first major, the U.S. Open at Oakmont in 2010.
