NORTON, Mass. – Jason Day is slowly learning the intricacies of contending on Sunday at PGA Tour events but he seems to have aced the learning curve for being a newlywed.
After a sluggish Saturday at TPC Boston, Day said he went back to his RV, which is parked just around the corner from the golf course, enjoyed a “great dinner that my wife made” and scored some nine hours of sleep.
And what culinary masterpiece sparked Day’s 5-under 66 that lifted him to a one-shot lead heading into Monday’s final frame?
“It’s nothing, really,” Ellie Day smiled. “I made some sausage and couscous and green beans. He’s really easy to cook for.”
He may not win on Monday, but the young Aussie scored big husband points this week.
