Delays mount at PGA

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Fog has again delayed the start of play at the PGA Championship, delaying the completion of the first round and setting up a long weekend in Wisconsin.

The first round is scheduled to resume at 9:40 a.m. (CT), but the bigger concern is an approaching line of thunderstorms. According to the official forecast the rain isn’t set to arrive until later this afternoon but the fog is slowly giving way to clouds.

Seventy-eight players have to complete the first round, including Ernie Els, who is tied for the lead at 4 under through 14 holes.
