Shanshan Feng outdueled a group of mostly better-known rivals on Sunday to win the Wegmans LPGA Championship, becoming the first golfer from mainland China to win a major.
Feng, 22, shot a final-round 67 at Locust Hill CC to finish at 6 under par, two strokes ahead of a quartet of players. It was the first LPGA win for the player who is ranked No. 10 in the world.
Mika Miyazato (69), Stacy Lewis (70), Suzann Pettersen (70) and third-round leader Eun-Hee Ji (72) tied for second.
Paula Creamer, looking for her first win since the 2010 U.S. Women's Open, tied for ninth after a 71 left her at 2 under. Cristie Kerr tied for 12th after a 71.
Former Big Break contestant Gerina Piller tied for sixth at 3 under after a 68.
