Final hole playing tougher than at US Open

SAN DIEGO - This is not your U.S. Open Torrey Pines and one needed to look no further than the South's 18th hole for proof of that.

The epicenter of the 2008 Open has not produced the same fireworks for this week's Farmers Insurance Open.

Even playing 27 paces short of the tips, the par 5 has just a 4.97 stroke average late in Round 3, primarily because of a cold, steady wind and wet conditions.
Not quite the same shooting gallery players enjoyed at the Open.
