RSS

Joe Louis Barrow Jr., the chief executive officer of The First Tee, was hospitalized last weekend after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. He is listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

According to a statement released by Steve Mona, the chief executive officer of the World Golf Foundation, Barrow is “responsive and communicating clearly.”

Barrow will remain hospitalized for at least the next 48 hours as doctors evaluate his condition.

“The medical team treating Joe is optimistic about a full recovery absent any complications,” according to the release.
