Flat out ridiculous

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – Largely lauded as a major championship venue, Aronimink Golf Club did not survive it's first PGA Tour test untouched.

The par-3 17th was always a concern for players, a severe green with water lurking short. Even with the tees moved up on Sunday players struggled, including Tiger Woods who hit long and made bogey.

The primary concern was a back-left pin position that J.B. Holmes called 'horrendous.'

'I aimed away from the pin, how many times do you do that with a wedge in your hand?' Holmes said.

Even Sean O'Hair, a member at Aronimink, took issue with some of the week's hole locations.

'There were two pins every day that were just flat out ridiculous,' said O'Hair, noting that Aronimink's greens are normally faster then they were this week. 'We just use different pin positions.'
