SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Solheim Cup’s afternoon foursomes session is off and running even with the morning fourballs still in session.
The scores haven’t been posted, but Europe’s Sophie Gustafson and Janice Moodie are 1 up after three holes on Paula Creamer and Juli Inkster in the opening afternoon foursomes match.
The second match of the afternoon can’t begin because two of its participants just completed their morning fourballs.
American Kristy McPherson and Europe’s Suzann Pettersen will get little turnaround time after they finish fourballs. McPherson is paired with Morgan Pressel in a foursomes match against Pettersen and Helen Alfredsson.
