Fowler not worried about slow start

SAN DIEGO – Spotted freshman phenom Rickie Fowler at the far end of Torrey Pines’ practice tee early Tuesday and the rookie’s 0-for-2 start to his PGA Tour career doesn’t seem to be weighing too heavily on him.

After missing the cut at the Bob Hope Classic, the second MC of his youthful career, the “Main Event” spent some time at his parent’s house in nearby Murrieta, Calif., before heading to Del Mar on Monday to play in Charley Hoffman’s pro-am.

As for his sluggish start, Fowler was looking for a little change of luck Tuesday with some new drivers complete with orange-colored golf shafts in honor of his Oklahoma State days.
