PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Tom Gillis hopes he literally can keep up with his youthful fellow competitors in the leaders threesome last off Sunday at the Honda Classic.
Gillis, a 43-year-old journeyman, is playing with a pair of 22-year-olds, Rory McIlroy and Harris English.
“Hopefully, they don’t walk too fast and I can keep up with them,” Gillis cracked.
Gillis is seeking his first PGA Tour title. He turned pro a year after McIlroy and English were born.
