Green stays hot at LPGA Q-School, leads by seven

Jaye Marie Green is running away at LPGA Q-School finals.

With a 6-under-par 66 Friday, Green is making a run at a wire-to-wire victory at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. At 20-under 196, she is seven shots ahead of Korean LPGA member Mi Rim Lee, who couldn't get closer even with a Jones Course record 61 in the third round. Tiffany Joh (70) sits third, 10 shots back.

The top 20 scores after Sunday’s completion of 90 holes earn LPGA exempt playing privileges next season. The next 25 scores and ties earn conditional status.

Green, 19, of Boca Raton, Fla., finished 29th on the Symetra Tour money list this past season.

Amy Anderson (70) is fourth, 11 shots back. China’s 17-year-old standout, Xiyu Lin (73), is tied for 18th. So is LPGA veteran Reilley Rankin (70).

Birdie Kim, the 2005 U.S. Women’s Open winner, shot 69 Friday to jump 44 spots on the leaderboard and move within striking distance of claiming exempt status. She’s tied for 28th.
