Tiger Woods finished a pedestrian T-40 at The Players, but his performance impressed former swing instructor Butch Harmon.
“Friday was the best I’ve seen him hit the ball all year long,” Harmon said Monday on “Morning Drive”.
Woods shot 4-under 68 in the second round at TPC Sawgrass after opening in 2-over 74. Saturday, Woods hit 10 of 14 fairways and 15 greens in regulation. However, he had 33 putts on his way to an even-par 72.
“I still think he has some confidence issues with his short game,” added Harmon, who worked with Woods from 1993-2004. “He’s going to get there. He’s Tiger Woods for doggone’s sake.”
