Harrington, Byrd win storm-shortened Par-3 Contest

The Par-3 Contest at the Masters was canceled after thunderstorms at Augusta National forced a stoppage in play.

Padraig Harrington and Jonathan Byrd both completed the 9-hole course at 5 under and were declared co-winners.

Adam Scott finished a shot back, while Webb Simpson and Jerry Pate were tied with the Aussie and on the course when play was halted.

Phil Mickelson and U.S. Amateur champion Kelly Kraft finished at 3 under.

Mark Wilson had a hole-in-one at the fourth hole, while Thomas Bjorn aced the last.

For Harrington, it is his third win in the contest. He won in 2003 along with David Toms, then defended his title in 2004.

Since its inception in 1960, the winner of the Par-3 Contest has never won the Masters in the same week.
