FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Don’t tell Padraig Harrington Saturday at the U.S. Open is predicted to be a carbon copy of Thursday’s muddy mess. Never mind that the forecast is for an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms and high winds, the Irishman is having no part of it.
“When you’re from a country like mine you never look at the forecast,” he smiled. “I expect the sun to come out and split the stones and every putt to drop.”
Never dismiss the power of positive thought.
