Henderson becomes youngest pro winner at 14

Canadian teen amateur Brooke Henderson became the youngest known winner of a professional golf event on Wednesday, earning a spot in the CN Canadian Women's Open in the process.

Henderson shot two-round total of 3-under 139 at Beloeil GC, just outside of Montreal, to win on the CN Canadian Women's Tour by two shots over American Lisa Ferrero.

The Ontario native opened with 67 in the first round on Tuesday, following with a final round of 1-over 72 to win the 85-player event.

Henderson won at 14 years, 9 months and 3 days. New Zealand teen Lydia Ko won the 54-hole New South Wales Open in Australia in January at 14 years, 9 months and 5 days.

The winner of the event earned a spot in the CN Canadian Women's Open, played at The Vancouver GC from August 23-26.
