ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – A couple little nuggets to sink your teeth into. This year on the PGA Tour, the second-round leader/co-leader has gone on to win 10 of the 28 stroke-play events. Steve Stricker was the most recent to do so last week at the John Deere Classic.

The 36-hole leader at the Open Championship has won only 15 of 42 times since 1968. In the last seven Opens at the Old Course, the 36-hole leader/co-leader has won four times. (Tiger Woods in 2000, 2005; John Daly in 1995; Nick Faldo in 1990).
