RSS

MILTON, Ga. – Cal senior Max Homa, who won the NCAA Championship by three strokes on Thursday, led the group of 11 Ping First-Team All-Americans that were announced after the final round of stroke-play qualifying at Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course.

Also in that group was Homa’s Cal teammate, sophomore Michael Kim, who is the top-ranked player in Golfstat’s rankings.

The other players honored as first-teamers: Florida State’s Daniel Berger, TCU’s Julien Brun, UCF’s Greg Eason, New Mexico’s James Erkenbeck, Cal’s Michael Weaver, Washington’s Cheng-Tsung Pan, Stanford’s Patrick Rodgers, Texas’ Brandon Stone and Alabama’s Cory Whitsett.

Stone, who won three times as a freshman, including the Big 12 title, was named the Phil Mickelson Award winner as the country’s top freshman.
