PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Saturday’s third round of The Players will mark the 20th time that Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods have played in the same group.

In those matchups, Woods is 12-3-4.

Only twice, however, have Garcia and Woods gone head-to-head.

Woods bested Garcia in the final round of the 2006 British Open, 67-73; and in the final round of the 2002 U.S. Open, Woods had the low score, 72-74.
