ORLANDO, Fla. – Count Charles Howell III among the mass of central Florida pros who view the Arnold Palmer Invitational as much more than just another stop on the PGA Tour’s circus.
Howell has lived in the area since he turned pro and has seen what The King’s handiwork brings to the community first hand.
“We had our child at Winnie Palmer Hospital,” said Howell, who rebounded with a second-round 65 at Bay Hill on Friday is currently tied for second place. “I’ve seen it from the hospital side and it’s awesome. Heck, he still played the pro-am. That’s neat.”
Howell’s daughter, Ansley Grace, was born on May 26 and “is nine months going on 15 (years old).”
