About a dozen players have penned the initials “PC” into their hats at this week’s Northern Trust Open to honor Peter Curran, the father of up-and-coming mini-tour player John Curran who died Tuesday following a long battle with cancer.
John Curran is a roommate of Keegan Bradley who initiated the campaign and tweeted, “Great day at (Riviera). Low numbers and (Peter Curran) on the mind,” early Friday.
“I was proud of my relationship with Peter. Just proud to have gotten to know him and be his friend,” said Cleveland Golf’s Mike Dunphy, who met Peter Curran during John’s junior days.
