Zach Johnson is on the cusp of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking after his second victory of the season at the John Deere Classic.

Johnson improved a half-dozen spots to No. 11 after beating Troy Matteson in a two-hole playoff at TPC Deere Run. Matteson gained 161 spots to move to 207th.

Scottish Open champion Jeev Milkha Singh gained 105 spots to jump up to 87th.

The top 10 in the world remain unchanged heading into the British Open. Luke Donald is first, leading Rory McIlroy by 1.01 points.

McIlroy, as well as No. 3 Lee Westwood and No. 4 Tiger Woods, can take over the top spot this week. If McIlroy finishes second alone, he can get to No. 1 if Donald misses the cut. Westwood needs to win, as does Woods. For Westwood, Donald needs to finish outside of the top three. In Woods' case, Donald cannot finish better than a tie for third.

U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson is No. 5 and at home with his wife, Dowd, awaiting the birth of their second child. Bubba Watson is sixth, followed by Jason Dufner, Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose and Hunter Mahan.
