OAKMONT, Pa. – Cristie Kerr and Paula Creamer are in the final pairing on Saturday for the second consecutive year at the U.S. Women’s Open.
This time they'll be joined by Sakura Yokomine.
The pairings for the third round were just released.
Play will resume at 2:35 p.m. at Oakmont.
The final threesome of Creamer (72-70), Yokomine (71-71) and Kerr (72-71) are scheduled to tee off at 4:25 p.m.
The field is off in threesomes on two sets of tees. The U.S. Golf Association plans are for the third round to be completed Sunday morning. They'll be re-pairing before the final round with players going off once more in threesomes on two sets of tees. The plan is to conclude play by 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Last year, Creamer started the third round a shot behind the leader, Kerr, and played herself out of contention with a 79. Kerr also took the lead into the final round but faltered with a 75 on Sunday with Eun-Hee Ji winning.
