Kuchar's consistency no surprise; fires 68 on Day 2

IRVING, Texas – Another day, another solid round for Matt Kuchar.

The Players Championship winner has been making a habit of consistent performances over the past three years – and this week is hardly a deviation from the norm.

On Friday, Kuchar followed an opening-round 66 with a 2-under 68, leaving him in contention once again at the Byron Nelson Championship.

“Things are going well,” he said after the round. “I feel well on the tee ball, and that's crucial thing around most of these courses that we play. Having the ball in the fairway makes a big difference, particularly with the Bermuda rough. Last week we had Bermuda rough, this is Bermuda rough, and not much fun to be driving out of that, so driving well and putting well.”
