ORLANDO, Fla. – Young phenom Tom Lewis is a product of England, but he can envision a day in the not-too-distant future when he lives at least part-time in the Sunshine State, specifically in the Orlando area.
“I love it here,” he said at the Tavistock Cup. “I’ve thought about maybe getting a house here if I get to the stage that I want to get to. I could see myself coming over here to practice for a couple of months.”
Don’t mistake that sentiment, however, for Lewis wanting to become a full-fledged member of the PGA Tour.
“I’d love to be a global player,” last year’s first-round Open Championship co-leader explained. “Play the four majors and the four World Golf Championship events. That would be great for me. But I’m just going to continue carrying on and working hard to get there.”
