Lewis mom breaks leg released from hospital

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Stacy Lewis' mother fractured the fibula in her left leg leaping into Poppie's Pond in the traditional victory celebration at the Kraft Nabisco Championship but was treated and released from a Palm Springs area hospital Sunday night, according to the Lewis management team.

Carol Lewis left Mission Hills Country Club in an ambulance after the trophy presentation.

'She is doing well,' J.S. Kang of Sterling Sports said Monday morning. 'She is in a soft cast and back with her family.'

Lewis jumped to No. 15 in the newest Rolex World Golf Rankings.
