Long day in desert

MARANA, Ariz. – Just spotted Sea Island Resort sport psychologist Dr. Morris Pickens heading to work Wednesday morning at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

It’s going to be a long day for Dr. Mo, who will be walking with his pupil Stewart Cink in the day’s first group, which has been delayed 30 minutes by frost, and the day’s last group with Zach Johnson, who is scheduled to tee off at 1:05 p.m. (MT).

In between Pickens also will keep an eye on his third charge, Jonathan Byrd who plays Rory McIlroy at 10:15 a.m.
