LPGA Bahamas event begins 12-hole round


After heavy rains fell on the Ocean Course at Paradise Island earlier this week, the LPGA was forced to get creative in order to begin the first round of the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.

Despite cancelling Thursday's opening round, tournament officials knew that a day later they would still be facing a course with multiple holes under water. As a result, the decision was made late Thursday that the opening round Friday would be reduced to only 12 holes.
