LPGA to honor Blasberg in memorial service


MOBILE, Ala. – Erica Blasberg will be remembered in a memorial service for LPGA players, caddies and staff tonight at 7:30 CT at the Magnolia Grove clubhouse on the eve of the Bell Micro LPGA Classic.

Blasberg, 25, was found dead Sunday at her home in Henderson, Nev. Police are investigating. Cris Stevens, who heads the Women’s Professional Golf Fellowship organization for the tour, will lead the memorial service. Players are wearing purple ribbons honoring Blasberg’s memory. The flag at the clubhouse is at half mast.
