LPGA launches Spanish language website

With more than 20 of its players native to Spanish-speaking countries, the LPGA this week launched a Spanish language version of its website, LPGA.com/Espanol.

According to a media release from the tour, site content will include news and player information as well as interview transcripts, translated into Spanish on a daily basis.

The launch of the Spanish-speaking site comes in addition to sites already hosted by the LPGA in Chinese, Korean and Japanese which cater to fans in Asia. The LPGA currently counts among its ranks players from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Spain.

“Our goal with this site is to not only provide better LPGA content in Spanish, but also to better highlight our Spanish-speaking LPGA stars in their homelands,' added Brian Carroll, LPGA vice president of television and emerging media.
