PGA Championship winner Martin Kaymer may not be done with the PGA Tour after all.
Kaymer’s manager, Johan Elliott with Sportyard management, told GolfChannel.com on Monday that he was misquoted in a recent report in London’s Daily Mail.
“He has not made up his mind,” Elliott said. “We are very much undecided. What I said was, ‘If you were to ask me it’s becoming harder to play both tours.’”
Instead, Elliott said he was quoted saying, “Martin is almost certain to follow Lee (Westwood) and not take out U.S. Tour membership next year.”
Elliott said Kaymer will not make a decision regarding his 2011 schedule until after the Chevron World Challenge next month. Before then he’s scheduled to compete in this week’. Singapore Open and the season-ending Dubai World Championship.
