Masters champ Watson throws out first pitch for Mets

Masters champion Bubba Watson threw out the ceremonial first pitch Monday at Citi Field in the New York Mets' game against the Baltimore Orioles.

Watson slow-tossed the ball across home plate and later chatted with SNY about the pitch and his major triumph.

Last week during the U.S. Open at The Olympic Club, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson threw out ceremonial first pitches prior to San Francisco Giants' games. Johnson's pitch came on a night when Matt Cain threw a perfect game for the Giants. R.A. Dickey tossed his second consecutive one-hitter for the Mets Monday night as New York defeated Baltimore, 5-0.

Watson is competing in this week's Travelers Championship in Hartford, Conn., site of his first PGA Tour win in 2010.
